Canon Selphy Printer // Inkjet or Dye-Sublimation?

s recently time wasting on Youtube as always, when I was watching a video by 'TheSnapChick'. She was talking about how she owns a Canon Selphy CP910 and that she uses it to print her photos from her phone. I left the video half way through and researched these compact dye-sublimation printers and that was it, I had one ordered and on the way to me within the hour!

I received the package just a day later after taking full advantage of the free next day delivery with Amazon Prime, which is really fantastic by the way.

The one (and only) thing I was hesitant about before clicking the purchase button was the fact it was a dye sublimation printer, i'd never heard of this method of printing before, and was only familiar with Inkjet printers. I must say after researching this printing method a lot of people feel this is definitely the way to go with your digital photography, and after printing a few photographs with my printer I can honestly say if you're considering purchasing this type of printer then go ahead because the results are fantastic!

Canon have done a really great job of providing the bare necessities (which isn't a bad thing in my eyes) sometimes all I want is an easy-to-use, straight forward, no thrills device that gives me the quality I expect from such an established brand.

I wa

The built in Wi-fi feature was definitely the thing that originally caught my eye, i've never known it to be so simple to print images off my phone, and lets face it- we all have atleast 2,000 images we don't need and 2,000 we forgot about on our smartphones.

I also decided to purchase the refill pack which includes glossy photo paper and ink cartridges that are good for 108 prints. I read whilst researching that the printer only comes with enough ink and paper for 5 prints (which is not enough at all Canon!) - however mine didn't come with any so perhaps thats an in-store deal or they saw I'd ordered some extra paper and thought I could do without.

I've also been using some different collage apps on my iPhone 4S and Macbook Air to create some fun gifts and photo-sets, but i'll talk about that another day!
