With the recent revival of retro ways originating from the preceding decades, instant photography has become incredibly popular over the past few years. For those of us new to the party, Polaroid cameras are very hard to get hold of especially those in full working order (and not to mention expensive!) I think this is one of the main reasons why Fujifilm's Instax camera range is so popular. The camera itself is relatively cheap, as well as the film which makes it perfect for the younger generation.
I personally have the Instax 210 model, which is a wider frame in comparison to the more popular Instax Mini 8 which produces credit card sized photos. I decided to go for the 210 simply because of the frame size, because the Instax Mini is so popular it's for expensive to buy and you get a smaller outcome. I also don't really feel that the dainty photos produced by the Mini are really for me.
I purchased the
Fujifilm Instax 210 Instant Camera with 10 shot film from Amazon as a package deal which saved me some money in the long run. The cost was what really encouraged me to buy this camera, I see a new camera I would like to own every day but they are all £200+, with this one being just over £50 I just couldn't resist!
I really enjoy the fun you can have with this instant camera, and I would say that is all it's really for. If your looking for crisp, in focus photos then this camera isn't really for you, but on the other hand if your looking for something to create memories you can look back on and don't get your knickers in a twist over a few blemishes or some occasional blur then I would highly recommend this camera!
Below is a Pinterest board I have created with a few samples of what you could be creating with the Fujifilm 210, so if you are looking for inspiration or encouragement feel free to take a look!
