Instagram: Why Artist's Should Use It

I think pretty much everybody is familiar with Instagram, it's the biggest photo sharing social media in the world and brings everybody together through photography.

Businesses in particular are very interested in Instagram because of the sheer power it can have once you build up a strong following.

I personally believe that every artist should be using Instagram, gone are the days of over exposed sunsets and blurry images of food. It's evolved into a much more professional social media if that is how you choose to use it.

I personally have a separate account to showcase my art which I could use it similarly to a digital portfolio. Which indeed I have done, especially when applying to university.

The main tip I would have for you of you are thinking of sharing your art with the world via Instagram is use hashtags, they are how potential clients or employers may find you. It gives you alot of exposure and will increase the amount of people your art will have an impression on.
